Granny O’Grimm on the festival circuit

We just received word that Granny O’Grimm has been awarded the Best Comedy award at the Hearts of Gold Film Festival in Australia.
This follows on from the audience award for Best Animated Film at the Omaha Festival which Granny picked up last month. (more…)

Making Of Somniac: Lighting

This is an extra bit of info about Somniac, the short film we have been working on directed by Rory Bresnihan. My task on Somniac was to light and render the CG background worlds we created for the live action character to fit into. Making Of Somniac: Behind the scenes

Somniac is a short film by Rory Bresnihan that we are producing here in Brown Bag.  The film consists of a Live Action character who was shot on a Green Screen set, then later integrated into a CGI environment

Somniac has presented a few challenges to us when it comes to Digital Effects – here are some of the challenges we faced and how we dealt with them.

Making Of: New Tayto Chickatees Packs

When Dynamo came to us and asked if we’d be interested in doing designs for the new packs of Tayto’s Mighty Munch, Chickatees, Snaps and Johnny Onion Rings, my response was probably less than professional. It involved a lot of jumping up and down begging ‘Can we???? Huh, huh? Can we? Pleeeeeeese!’. Not my finest hour!

Errol Le Cain
