September 16th September 2009 was officially Stereo 3D day in Brown Bag Films. The whole day was taken up with indepth talks regarding all things stereo 3D.
3D consultant Alexander Lentjes visited the studio from the UK to share his expertise. None of this is new for Alexander as he has been doing Stereo 3D work for years and now advises companies on how to do it properly in their productions.
Apart from all looking silly with our sweet wrapper glasses the day was a great success and has certainly answered a lot of the one hundred million questions we had. At least now we know we can do Stereo 3D and do it well.
So fingers crossed the next few months of testing and refining the pipeline produce some awesome eyepoking, in-your-face stereo 3D. I still love the ping pong ball and bat scene from years back. I say you can never have enough things jumping out of the screen and scaring the bejasus out of small children.
Stay tuned for our adventures into another dimension
