Last week we had a new visitor to Brown Bag, as Granny O’Grimm made herself at home in the studio – all 30 cm of her!
Created by artist Grazyna Chyla-Kaczmarek, Granny was brought to life as a 30cm figurine, seated on her favourite chair reading ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
Grazyna created Granny’s body and hair from air dough, while her head and hands were crafted from polymer clay and she was painted with acrylics.
Granny’s chair was built from light wooden board and painted with varnish and lacquer.
Grazyna managed to capture Granny’s trademark scary glare, which now watches over us from Reception at all times and keeps us in line!
We’re assured she was a very patient model and barely blinked during her posing sessions…which seems very out of character for Granny O’Grimm!

Thanks Rob – she’s so lifelike it’s kind of unnerving!

I want one, too. My friends want one. My niece and her husband need one. My sister in law should have one! Beautiful work, as always!
