Granny O’Grimm on the festival circuit

We just received word that Granny O’Grimm has been awarded the Best Comedy award at the Hearts of Gold Film Festival in Australia.
This follows on from the audience award for Best Animated Film at the Omaha Festival which Granny picked up last month.

I think audience awards are the most satisfying to receive as you know they are voted by the festival going public… ( or else you can try to hustle all your family & friends into attending & voting for you ;) Mind you, thats hard to do when a festival is in Australia or the U.S.!)

So here’s a list of the awards Granny has picked up so far:

Galway Film Fleadh, IRL – Winner Best Animated Short
Palm Springs, LA – Runner up, Audience choice award
Denver Starz, U.S. – Winner, People choice award
Dam Short Film Fest, U.S. – Runner-up, audience award
Irish Film & TV awards, IRL – Winner Best Animation
Omaha Film Festival, U.S. – Best Animated Short, Audience award
Heart of Gold, AUS – Winner, Best Comedy

Let’s hope the film goes from strength to strength & continues to entertain audiences across the globe. Well done to Nicky & all of the team involved.
