Dublin’s Lord Mayor Awards Brown Bag

Last Saturday, the Lord Mayor, Councilor Emer Costello invited Brown Bag Films to the Mansion House for a reception in our honour. This was a moment we were deeply proud of and almost 70 Brown Baggers enjoyed the evening at the Lord Mayor’s historic residence on Dawson Street.

Accompanying the Lord Mayor was her husband, Joe Costello TD and they presented us with a framed scroll saluting our contribution to “the animation industry and our cultural and economic life of  the city”.

Afterwards, we were treated to a tour of the Mansion House given by the Lord Mayor herself. Built in 1710 the building has history coming from every crevice. It was best known for being the location of the assembly of the first government of the Republic back in 1919. We were deeply appreciative of the Lord Mayor’s generosity of time and it will go down as one of the more memorable occasions that we have attended.

  2. You probably need to resize first image (NickyCathal-Major-Emer-CostelloJoe-CostelloDoc_021.JPG). It’s huge and slows loading of web site.

  3. Thanks Victar – the photos automatically resize but it must have glitched yesterday! Fixed now.
