The Granny O’Grimm gang are currently in LA, which has gone Oscar-mad in the build up to the ceremony on March 7th. All this week they will be visiting studios and attending screenings of the Oscar-nominated films.
A couple of weeks ago, Team Granny O’Grimm’s Hollywood experience kicked off with the Oscar Nominees Luncheon. Each year, all the nominees and their guests attend a lunch and ceremony to acknowledge their nominations. Cathal took a few photos while they were there:
- Kathleen, Nicky, Darragh, Oscar and Cathal
- The Granny O’Grimm gang with The Dude (aka Jeff Bridges) and Avatar’s Richard Baneham
- Richard Baneham, Oscar and Darragh
Richard and Darragh attended Ballyfermot College and made their first short film together. Richie is nominated in the Best Visual Effects category for ‘Avatar’.

Nicky and Darragh are standing below Quentin Tarantino and to the right of Meryl Streep – surreal! Even more surreal was when Granny O’Grimm met “Brad Clooney”, but more on that later…
